Kenneth Carl Biggerstaff

Kenneth Carl Biggerstaff, a long time resident of Sulphur, was born on February 13, 1946 in Oklahoma City, to William D. Biggerstaff, Jr. and Blanche Holder Biggerstaff.

Ken died on Friday,April 12, 2024 in Sulphur at the age of 78 years, one month and 29 days.

Ken grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School.

After high school, Ken joined the U.S. Navy where he served in the Vietnam Era. Upon his return from the military, he lived in Oklahoma City and worked for the State, working as a boilermaker.

He later moved back to Sulphur and opened Ken’s Kerr-McGee and Wrecker Service. Ken then worked for Chickasaw Telephone Company for 17 years and for the City of Sulphur until his retirement.

Ken is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, LeAnn and Joe Loftis; and his three grandchildren, Marissa Loftis; Jacey Pitmon, and Saige Pitmon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Biggerstaff Compton. Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in the Chapel of DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Internment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Military services will be performed by the U.S. Navy Honor Team.
