2019 Show Opens With 385 Entries; One Of The Biggest In Recent Memory

What a difference a year makes! The annual Youth Art Show opened on Friday, April 5, and is proving to be a popular success. Last year’s show was adversely affected by bad weather, school closings, an art teacher on leave, and even a statewide teacher walkout.

The 2019 show is the largest in recent memory with 385 art entries by middle school students, high school students, and home schooled youth. Last year’s art entries were half that figure.

The show is held at the Jean Carr Gallery downtown. It is sponsored by the Artists of the Arbuckles.
