Sulphur’s Ruby Beasley enjoys birthday balloons and wearing her cowboy hat on Monday as she discussed the formula for living 110 years. Ruby is believed the second oldest living Oklahoman and cited hard work as the formula for her longevity. She will officially celebrate her birthday on Friday.

At 103 when this photo was taken, Ruby Beasley was still mowing her large lawn on Sulphur’s west side. The spry senior citizen attributes her longevity to working hard all her life. She would go on to mow her yard for another two years before passing that chore onto others. PHOTO BY MIKE WEST
