City’s Old Water Plant Building Demolished
End Of An Era
Sulphur’s turn of the century water plant, which dates back to the early 1900’s, was demolished last week as the city cleans up around a new, $1.3 million facility which went online earlier this summer. The new plant, which is just to the left in this photo, is computer controlled and fully automated. Sulphur officials are currently working with Meyers Engineering to work out a few bugs in the new facility relating to gravity flow to the new plant from a nearby storage tank.
