City Council Ends Economic Development Contract

Sulphur City Council members took action Monday night at their regular monthly meeting to end the city involvement with Retail Attractions.

The vote came following several discussions in previous meetings about the benefits to the city and information being provided to the staff in connection with the economic development contract. City officials entered into the agreement in 2018 with the Murray County Economic Development Authority to retain Retail Attractions to pursue economic development for Murray County. The term of the contract was for three-years with a clause to opt-out with a 60-day written notice.
