A family enjoys the cooling spray of the Sulphur splash pad during a hot an humid day last Friday as temperatures soared into the high 90s. Periodic rains have helped keep lawns and shrubs alive in the area, but the humidity that goes with it has caused heat index values to soar into the middle to high 100s. The outlook for the remainder of the week calls for temperatures to continue in the low to mid 90s.
