Council Agrees To Rehiring Of CM, But Tabled Vote
Sulphur Council members all agreed to the re-hiring of City Manager Andy Freeman at the monthly meeting Monday night, but tabled the official vote until new contract negotiations are complete. The council is expected to vote on the contract at the June meeting.
Following the Oath of Office for Derrick Priddy, who was absent at the April meeting, Priddy was elected as Mayor for the 2020-2021 year and Ryan Peters was elected Vice-Mayor. Ward 3 Councilman Darrell Cole was appointed as alternate signatory to sign in the absence of the Mayor or Vice-Mayor.
