Council Buys New Fire Truck, Mulls Water Plant Issues
The City of Sulphur Fire Department will soon be getting a 2019 Sutphen Custom Pumper fire truck.
The action to purchase the truck on a lease-purchase agreement from Heartland Fire Trucks, LLC, was made at a special council meeting held last Wednesday at noon. The truck is a demo unit with 7,500 miles. The total cost will be $458,488.25. The city plans to make an approximately $58,000 down payment and pay the balance on a seven-year lease purchase agreement. The unit will replace a model 2000 pumper truck.
