Four Suspects Arrested Following Controlled Drug Buy Operations

Four people were taken into custody following two separate controlled drug buy operations in Murray County recently, Sheriff Darrin Rogers said this week.

The two drug operations were conducted on May 13 in Dougherty and in Sulphur, according to Rogers.

In Dougherty, lawmen arrested three people for distribution of methamphetamine and other related charges after a month-long investigation, Rogers said. The three were identified as Jamie Lee Lindsey, 31, Sulphur, Victor Lee Lucas, 56, Dougherty and Joshua Layton Mize, 37, Mill Creek.

According to officials, the sheriff’s office received numerous complaints of an unusual amount of traffic at a South First Street Dougherty residence which led to the controlled buy operation set up on May 13.
