Feed the Board — The Sulphur School Board enjoyed tasty muffins and cinnamon rolls at the board’s meeting Monday, Feb. 4. The treats were provided by OPAA! — a food service company seeking to help feed the school district’s students in every grade.
Company representatives gave a presentation about how the company works to supply child nutrition meals.The board later voted to approve outsourcing the meals to the company.
School Board OKs Outsourcing Child Nutrition Program
The Sulphur Public Schools Board members approved outsourcing the Child Nutrition Program, after hearing a Public Comment presentation on the subject that began their regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 4.
Three representatives of OPAA! Food Management, Inc. gave the presentation describing how their nutrition program works for feeding school children and youth in several states, including Oklahoma. The principal speaker was Bill Seitter, business development associate.
Board members were pleased to sample a basket of muffins and sweet rolls offered as examples of the company’s food quality.
