Spreading Warmth For Winter
Sulphur-Davis Elks Lodge members in their September meeting discussed how to meet a pressing need in the community. After several minutes of brainstorming, ideas began to emerge how to help the many families struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic and the hardship it has caused. Therefore, the Sulphur-Davis Elks applied for a grant through the Grand Lodge to provide winter jackets and shoes for Murray County youth in need.
The club was notified of receiving the grant in late September and talked with area administrators to provide adequate sizes and quantity.
