State Leaders Tour OSD Campus

“Bridges” was the theme for the Oklahoma School for the Deaf’s open house from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28.

Representative Charles McCall, District 22 and Senator Frank Simpson, District 14, were among the guests who toured OSD classrooms, participated in a homecoming parade and pep rally or enjoyed lunch with the students in the cafeteria.

Representative McCall is the speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. and Senator Simpson is the majority whip in the Oklahoma Senate. “We were honored to have Speaker McCall and Senator Simpson join us for our open house,” Superintendent Larry Hawkins said. “They are great supporters of our school.”
