Sulphur Man Suspect In Vehicle, Firearms’ Thefts

Numerous Investigations Launched In December

Local lawmen were busy in the last several weeks conducting numerous investigations involving home burglaries, auto burglaries, trailer thefts and vehicle thefts. They also conducted a drug sting operation, all since early December.

According to Murray County Undersheriff Jay McClure, the investigations began December 2 when deputies Blake Clifton and Bill Breshears recovered a stolen Dodge truck on Masters Road. McClure said the truck had been taken from a wrecker service in Davis in late November. He said authorities obtained surveillance footage from a residence in close proximity to the location where the vehicle had been left and that video led to a suspect and the identity of the person who picked up the suspect.

According to McClure, the video was distributed to numerous law enforcement officers in the area, including Davis officer Seth Kemper, who recognized the vehicle and driver who picked up the stolen truck suspect.
