17-Year-Old Zachary Boldt Serves As Sulphur High School Band’s Drum Major

Sulphur Boy Scout Zachary Boldt recently completed his Eagle Scout project here. Zach was assisted by members of Sulphur Troop 160. The team worked on Saturday, May 9 installing a new metal sign at the Veterans Memorial Park on Broadway at W. 11th Street.

The Eagle project is required to earn the Eagle rank, which is Scouting’s highest rank achievement. The candidate is expected to show leadership in coordinating others to help with the project, and planning and execution of a complex task.

Zachary explained, “I chose this as my Eagle project because I wanted to show my respect to the veterans of the past, present, and future, and I wanted to do something that I could always remember later on in life.”
