Two Sulphur Men Facing Marijuana Theft Charges
Two Sulphur men were recently charged with stealing marijuana from a commercial grow operation east of town, according to court documents.
Sheriff Darrin Rogers and Undersheriff Jay McClure originally were dispatched to a “fight in progress” call on September 7 on West 2nd Street in the east downtown business district of Sulphur. After arriving, they were informed of a possible theft from a commercial marijuana grow operation, just east of the Sulphur city limits, according to a report from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, lawmen learned a witness observed two men exit a white SUV and jump a fence that surrounds the commercial grow site. The witness then contacted the owner of the business and informed the person of the situation.
