A Unique Graduation
Due to COVID-19, many schools in the state and nationally, are holding virtual graduation exercises if any at all.
Despite the current pandemic, 97 Sulphur High School members of the Class of 2020, will have a “somewhat” normal graduation ceremony. However, some restrictions will apply.
Originally scheduled for May 15, the event will take place on Friday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Agee Field as has been the protocol for many, many years.
The main restriction is that there the event will not be open to the public and will be by invitation only.
Students and parents have received letters from the school outlining the procedures of the evening. Students will receive tickets for parents, grandparents and siblings. No one will be allowed at or near the field without a ticket. School officials as well as local law enforcement officers will be on hand to assist with parking and seating.
