Celebrating The 4th In Sulphur

Thousands of people packed onto Muskogee St., in downtown Sulphur, on Sunday, July 4, to hear country music singer, Casey Donahew, and to watch the Artesian Hotel’s annual fireworks’ display. They were only part of many thousands of others in Sulphur, Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Turner Falls and other county venues who came to enjoy and celebrate the Independence Day holiday. The July 4th weekend is normally the biggest of the year in Sulphur in terms of tourism. The City of Davis had their fireworks show on Friday, July 3 at the football field, which is always a big draw.
