A former Davis area man, now living in Texas, was arrested and charged with second degree burglary after a former conviction and illegally possessing a firearm, according to a report from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office.

Millions of dollars worth of marijuana plants ready for cultivation and processed cannabis were seized and destroyed last week after a grow facility in Sulphur fell out of compliance with state and local regulations, authorities said. In a joint operation between the State Bureau of Narcotics and City of Sulphur, thousands of marijuana plants were removed from this indoor facility and burned. Thousands of marijuana plants and processed cannabis worth an estimated $7 to $10 million were destroyed last Wednesday after a Sulphur grow facility fell out of compliance with state and local regulations, authorities said this week.
Governor Kevin Stitt and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Executive Director Shelley Zumwalt announced a new Return to Work Incentive for Oklahomans who are on unemployment. The first 20,000 Oklahomans currently receiving unemployment benefits who return to the workforce will receive a $1,200 incentive using funds from the American Rescue Plan. All federal benefits will end June 26, 2021, giving Oklahomans six weeks’ notice of termination.
