Red Bud Trees Putting On A Show

With the arrival of warmer weather, Red Bud trees in this area are now in full bloom with brilliant hues including these in the Chickasaw Nation’s pocket park in downtown Sulphur. Temperatures are finally expected to reach into the 80s this week, according to weather officials, but there was a critical fire weather alert for Tuesday with elevated conditions forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

Music To Our Ears

Meredith Willson’s musical “The Music Man” was performed by the Sulphur Vocal Department this last weekend. The show was under the direction of Mrs. Paula Scott and assisted by Mrs. Jennie Baker. The cast and crew included students from 1st – 12th grade along with a few teachers and community member.
