OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) announced that the first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is set to arrive in the state as early as Friday, Dec. 11. Initially, Oklahoma expects to receive 33,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
These ladies of the Five Lakes community, south of Sulphur, show off their trophy and $500 check after their float was judged the grand prize winner in the Sulphur Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Parade of Lights in downtown on November 30.
COVID-19 cases in Murray County continue to rise, according to the Oklahoma State Health Department. Almost all 77 counties in Oklahoma are in the orange zone or high alert category.

Four Sulphur teachers were recognized for going above and beyond in educating their students and were awarded plaques to honor their commitment.
Candidates for the Board of Education in two Murray County school districts can file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, and continuing Tuesday, Dec. 8 and Wednesday, Dec. 9, Murray County Election Board Secretary Tommie Grimes said today.
