Chamber’s Opening Night Festivities Set Nov. 28

Opening Night ceremonies in Sulphur are planned for Saturday, Nov. 28 with activities beginning around 5:00 p.m.

Even with local and state COVID-19 cases rising at a fast pace, the show must go on. In the dark shadows of the pandemic, residents and visitors from near and far, will get to see a bright spot during the holiday season with the official Opening Night Ceremonies kicking off here on Saturday, November 28.

Fire Season Ramps Up

Sulphur firemen last week mop up a small grass fire on Burnside Road, containing it to just a few acres. But, while they were able to contain this one, Sulphur Fire Chief Pete Haines is advising caution while burning or working outdoors with power equipment due to the heavy fuel load and the every present Oklahoma wind.
