The Sulphur Lady Bulldog’s fastpitch team, above, gathers last Thursday before leaving for the state tournament in Shawnee. The team won their first-round game over Henryetta and jumped into the semifinals opposite Tishomingo on Friday. While inching closer to the state title game than ever before, the Lady Bulldogs were not able to overcome a powerful Tish team and lost to the Lady Indians, 5-1. Tishomingo went on to win the championship over Washington on Saturday at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. It was Tishomingo’s second straight title.
