Area Hospitals Receive Help With Tobacco-Free Policies And Signage

The Oklahoma Hospital Association’s Hospitals Helping Patients Quit (HHPQ) initiative, a grant program of TSET, helps member hospitals across the state with tobacco treatment systems change, which includes support for tobacco-free environments.

Drought Broken

Rain came pouring down in Sulphur during the early morning hours of Tuesday, causing minor flooding in low-lying areas of the city. Sulphur crews were out throughout the morning closing off low water areas and bridges, including this intersection at West 10th and Oklahoma St. Murray County was placed under a flood warning as of presstime Tuesday.

Drought Broken

The heat is gone and the drought was broken Tuesday after a cold front spawned waves of rain throughout the area.

Bulldogs Lose Opener To Tuttle

Sulphur football players take a breather on a hot night in Tuttle in their season opener last Friday. The Bulldogs fell short in the game, losing 28-7 to one of the best teams in Class 4A. The Bulldogs will be back home this Friday to host Washington in a run-up to their annual battle with Davis the following week.
