Sulphur senior Hannah Holder, right, presents a $12,000 check to Shannon Muck, elementary school principal, on Monday. Holder raised the money in three-month period from donations by local and area businesses and individuals. The money will be used to pay students’ enrollment fees.

A very ambitious and compassionate Sulphur High School senior took on a challenge most adults would not even attempt. In late April, Hannah Holder launched an effort to raise funds to help alleviate the burden of back to school fees and supplies for students and families in the Sulphur Elementary School.
