Local Sulphur State Farm Agent Greg Ayers has stepped up to support Arbuckle Memorial Hospital with a $500 donation. The donation will help feed frontline workers during the pandemic.
The Murray County Courthouse will remained closed to walk-in visitors. The Board of County Commissioners approved the measure at the regular weekly meeting on Monday.
A family enjoys the cooling spray of the Sulphur splash pad during a hot an humid day last Friday as temperatures soared into the high 90s. Periodic rains have helped keep lawns and shrubs alive in the area, but the humidity that goes with it has caused heat index values to soar into the middle to high 100s. The outlook for the remainder of the week calls for temperatures to continue in the low to mid 90s.
Over $25,000 was raised in a benefit golf tournament last Saturday on the Sulphur course to help the Eli Mize family. Eli’s wife, Paige, 28, left photo with children, Kendall and Kimber, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer.
