Couch To Bison View 5K Program To Be Featured At Parker Memorial Library

Parker Memorial Library will lead a Couch to Bison View 5K program beginning Tuesday, August 2 with sessions each Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. through Thursday, September 8th. This series of programs will help people who have an interest in walking or running in the Sulphur Chamber of Commerce’s Bison View 5K on Saturday, September 10 but want to prepare with others. This program is free and open to the public.

Recently, Carleena Day, an eighth grade U.S. History teacher at Sulphur Middle School, attended a workshop at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Day was selected as one of 35 people out of over 400 applicants to attend the “On Hallowed Ground--Gettysburg in History and Memory” workshop.
