Local and area kids are dazzled by Around the World Yo-Yo Entertainment group last Thursday at Parker Memorial Library in Sulphur. Kids were treated to a fun, educational and interactive show, enjoying the different tricks performed at the event.

Sulphur City Council members voted 4-0 to extend City Manager Andy Freeman’s employment contract for one month until the July meeting. The action took place at the regular monthly meeting of the board Monday night.
The Artesian Gallery in Sulphur is hosting a new artwork exhibit featuring works in many media by members of the Artists of the Arbuckles. The exhibit is free and open to the public from Monday through Saturday. This show is not judged; it is a chance for the artists to display some of their favorite works. Some pieces are offered for sale. Shown here are some of the dozens of art creations on display. After pandemic-caused exhibit cancellations, local art galleries finally are coming back to life offering several events and art activities soon.
Sulphur Fair Board members met in a special meeting last Tuesday evening to discuss updating and amending old by-laws for the Murray County Junior Livestock Association.
The final hurdles before actually receiving funds for the recent school bond issue were approved at the regular meeting of the Sulphur Board of Education Monday night.
