The American Legion is one of the Nation’s oldest military veterans service organizations.This year, the Legion is observing its 100th year of patriotic service to America. On March 15 to 17, the Legion celebrates the 100th “birthday” of its founding in Paris, France in 1919 by veterans of the First World War. The birthday is one of several significant milestones in the Legion’s creation.These will be observed throughout the Nation during the 15-month Centennial Celebration. The anniversary is noted with new Legion logos and graphics.
