Flag Box Ceremony Held At City Hall

Beyond Brotherhood conducted a dedication of a new flag retirement box at Sulphur City Hall on Saturday morning, Jan. 8. Construction and installation of the drive-by box is local Boy Scout Connor Sullivan’s Eagle Scout project. Andy Pannell, of Beyond Brotherhood, opened the event with an acknowledgment of the need for this project. He was followed by Sullivan, who explained his concern with improperly disposed flags and his gratitude for those who made his project possible. Sulphur City Councilman, Cedon Harazda, also spoke, accepting the donation and expressing appreciation for the project’s completion.

No Chickens Allowed

“No chickens allowed” after council members rejected a proposed amendment to Section 1, Chapter 4, Article 3, Section 4-3 of the City of Sulphur Code of Ordinances at the regular meeting Monday night.
