Sales Tax Figures On The Rise

Murray County sales tax figures were on the rise for business done in August, according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission figures. Sales taxes disbursed to Sulphur, Davis and Murray County were all above August, 2015 figures, according to the commission. Dougherty, meanwhile, showed a slight decline. Murray County had the biggest payday with about a $10,000 increase over last year, going from $265,307.48 in August, 2015 to $275,443.89 this year. Sulphur also had a large gain, going from $208,891.78 last August to $214,733.88 this year.
