Barbara Sue Morgan
The family of Barbara Morgan announces the passing of their beloved mother on February 11, 2021, at Duncan Regional Hospital from complications of a heart disorder. Barbara was the second child of Clarence Delmar and Jessie Mae Morgan, born in Wilson, Oklahoma, and for the past three decades a resident of Sulphur.
Barbara is survived by her son, Keith Webb and daughter, Rachelle Williams, both of Sulphur. In addition, Barbara is survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as three surviving brothers, Kelly Morgan, of Sand City, California, Joe Morgan, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and brother, Bill Morgan, of Greenacres, Florida.
After graduating from Montebello High School in 1956, Barbara served in the U.S. Navy for three years and soon thereafter settled in Montebello, California working as a successful real estate agent. She enjoyed water colors and oil painting and she won numerous awards for her artwork in both oil painting and painted sculpture. All of her sibling have samples of her work on display in their homes.
In 1994, she moved back to her roots in Oklahoma and lived in Sulphur in retirement with her mother, Jessie Morgan. Although retired, Barbara served as a teacher’s aide in Sulphur Schools and was awarded a commendation by the governor’s office for her volunteer service. In addition, Barbara served as a volunteer for many years at the Sulphur Historical Museum and a member of the Sulphur Senior Center and enjoyed the reputation for her pool and 8 ball skills.
Barbara was known for her generosity and kind hearted spirit for her family, neighbors, and members of the Sulphur Church of Christ and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
