Bobbie Carolyn Taylor

Bobbie Carolyn Taylor was born July 10th, 1936, in Sulphur, to John Richard Taylor and Greyce Pauline (Brown) Taylor. Bobbie attended Sulphur schools and graduated Sulphur High School in 1954. She lived in the Sulphur and Joy areas for many years working at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD). Bobbie moved to Oklahoma City in 1989 when OSD opened a transitional living center there, and she remained there even after retirement. Bobbie loved jazz music, her yorkies, her friends and family and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She was a season ticket holder, and very passionate about her basketball team. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Lionel Taylor, Max Taylor Newell, Johnny Sue Taylor Beard and Joe Taylor; two sons, David Ray Hussey and William Don Hussey, and son-in-law, Jim Freeman. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Hussey Freeman of Sulphur; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Risa Hussey of Richardson, Texas; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Terra and Hayley Frost of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Scott Freeman, Staci Bettes, Danea Ray, Heidi Hussey, Cale Freeman, Megan Spina, Colin Hussey, Sam Hussey and Cooper Frost; and great grandchildren, Lily Ray, Marley Ray, Sophia Freeman, Nora Freeman and Lily Freeman. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur. Arrangements are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
