David Roy Plasters

David Roy Plasters, a resident of Sulphur was born April 9, 1941 in Oklahoma City, to William and Lelia Margaret ( Blagg) Plasters. He passed away Friday, March 8, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 29 days.

David married Carolyn Sue (Kinsey) Plasters in Oklahoma City in 1960.

He grew up in Oklahoma City, graduating from Capitol Hill High School. David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 until 1963. He had worked as a computer operator in the banking business He was a lifetime member of the Albuquerque, New Mexico Optimist Club, for 30 plus years. David really enjoyed working with the children in the Optimist projects, serving as the Kite Doctor. He started the project of helping schools with needed supplies. David moved to Sulphur in 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Plasters, of Sulphur; a daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Knight and Vince, of Sulphur; a son and daughter -in-law, Glenn Plasters and Samantha, of Oklahoma City; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl “Jerb” Sherrod and Dorothy, of Tuttle; four grandchildren, Rachelle Hodgson, Taylor Knight, Amber Plasters and Sarah Plasters and two great grandchildren, Makayla and Caden.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
