Emma Ruth Clinton
Memorial services for Emma Ruth Clinton, 71, Sulphur, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Crossway Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
Emma was born August 1, 1947 in Ada, to Loyd J. and Wandell J. (Hart) Harber.
She passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, in Sulphur at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 29 days.
She married Donnie L. Clinton in Ardmore, on October 8, 1977. He preceded her in death June 20, 2015.
She grew up in the Byng and Sulphur area. Emma attended school in Byng before transferring to Sulphur where she graduated from high school. She had worked as a dental assistant for several area dentists. She was a member of Crossway Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Donna King.
Surviving are her daughter, Shellie Mathews, of Wynnewood; sons, Jody Clinton, of Lone Grove and Bryan Whiten, of Davis; father, Loyd J. Harber, of Sulphur; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
