Glenda Jean (Woodell) Holt

Services for Glenda Jean (Woodell) Holt, 70, Marietta, formerly of Coalgate, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel officiated by Bro. Richard Magby. Burial followed at Moore Cemetery under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Coalgate.

Glenda was born December 9, 1950 in Clarita to Sam and Annie Josephine (Hicks) Woodell. She passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Anadarko, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 6 days.

She married Cecil Everett Holt on December 19, 1970 in Marietta.

Glenda grew up in the Coalgate area and was a 1969 graduate of Olney High School. She was loving housewife and worked at the Cookie Shop in Marietta.

She was a member of the Shady Dale Baptist Church and loved fishing and gardening with her old man. She was preceded in death by her parent; brother, Bud Woodell;

Glenda is survived by her husband, Cecil, of the home; two sons, Wendell Holt and girlfriend, Stephanie Dickerson and John Holt and wife, Karen, all of Marietta; granddaughter. AJ Holt of Whitesboro, TX.; great granddaughter, Timberlee Jayce Ellis; great grandson, Franklin Parker Jacoby Ellis; two brothers, Jay Woodell and wife, Brenda of Hope, AR and David Woodell of Marietta and one sister, Nelda Benton of Marietta.

Pallbearers were Danny Lampkin, Donnie Lampkin, Hewey Lampkin, Lee Fillers, Trey Westfall and Jarvis Simmons. Honorary bearers were Nelson Barber, Akin Shurbert, Leo Stevens and Brent Sykora.
