Memorial services for Joshua Brandon Sanford, 33, Norman, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at First Christian Church in Sulphur, with Rev. Tim Kowalski officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur. Born March 6, 1983 in Ardmore to Charles Randolph and Glenda (Smith) Sanford, he passed away January 10, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 33 years, 10 months and four days. He grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School in 2001. Joshua graduated from East Central University in Ada in 2005 and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2009 with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. He had worked as a pharmacist at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada and Norman Regional Hospital. Josh was a sportsman and enjoyed hunting, bow fishing and hog hunting. He had a passion for basketball and liked playing fantasy football with his friends. Josh spent many hours hunting and fishing with his dad. He also liked collecting things, such as coins, G.I. Joes and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Sanford; grandmother, Jewell Smith and uncle, Glen Dale Smith. He is survived by his father, Charles Sanford and wife, Kathy, Indiahoma; mother, Glenda Price and husband, Dewayne, Asher; grandfather, Glen Smith, Sulphur; grandmother, Ramona Sanford, Sulphur; three step-brothers, Dakota Price, Perris, Calif., Jon Downs, Atlanta, Ga., Joel Stover, Portland, Ore. and one step-sister, Kellyn Price, Colorado Springs, Colo.
