Funeral services for Linda Sue Hicks were held 2:00PM, Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Reverend Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery.

Linda was born October 7, 1946, in Pauls Valley, OK, to the late Floyd “Pete” and Linnie (Gentry) Hicks. She passed from this life to her eternal home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75.

Linda grew up in Davis, graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1965. Following high school, she attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, prior to attending nursing school at the Ardmore Vo-Tech. Linda spent 33 years working as a licensed practical nurse, with her final 21 years of nursing at the Sulphur Veteran’s Center.

Linda was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She loved studying scriptures and sharing the word with others. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, which often meant hours of simply looking. She loved spending time with her beloved family. Linda also enjoyed listening to gospel music, going to garage sales and flea markets and vacationing when she could.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan Hicks; granddaughter, Kim Piggee & husband Patrick; three great-grandchildren, Haidyn,Audryna and Aubryna Piggee, all of Ardmore; as well as her dear friend of many years, Eva Strickland Phipps.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Pullen.
