Mary Wilson Brinlee Garland went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, February 25 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Mary loved her family and friends, playing the organ, basketball, singing and dancing, collecting her baby dolls and angels, going to garage sales, Dr. Pepper and chocolates, taking in strays from babes to animals - but above all else Mary loved the Lord. Mary went to school in Colbert, Oklahoma, where she was a straight A student, a star basketball player during her junior high and high school years and was Valedictorian her senior year. Mary was 66 years old, born June 19, 1950 in Heavener. Her parents were Edgar A Wilson, a farmer and Helen Wilson Chancee, a homemaker. She is survived by two children, Carla K. Brinlee of Cartwright, Okla. and Cory Dale Garland of Sulphur,; one grandson, Grayson Elijah, five months old, of Sulphur; three sisters, Elaine Higgins of Sulphur, Evelyn Parker of Davis and Sue Adams of Denison, Texas, and her nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held for Mary on Saturday, March 11 at the Abundant Life Church, Sulphur.
