Ralph Edward Bellamy
In the early morning hours on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, Ralph Edward “Ed” Bellamy, loving husband, father and grandfather passed from this life at the age of 80.
Ralph was born on January 29, 1940 in Anadarko, to Clyde and Ethel Bellamy. In 1945, the family moved to Sulphur, where he spent his childhood years and graduated from Hickory High School in 1957. Ralph married the love of his life, Brenda Joyce Stover, in Springfield, CO on October 24, 1959. After short stint in San Diego, CA and Moore, Ralph and Brenda made their home in Seminole, to raise their two sons, Marty and Rodney. Ralph was an entrepreneur at heart, owning commercial construction, equipment manufacturing, and oil pipeline services companies.
Ralph had an infectious passion for life that centered around family and friends, most notability his beloved grandchildren. Ralph was known for his inspirational spirit, contagious smile, and unpretentious charisma. Ralph’s greatest pleasure in life, outside of his grandchildren, was quail hunting, behind his much-loved bird dogs from daylight to dusk.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Clyde, his mother, Ethel; two sisters, Juanita and Bobbie; three brothers, Howard “Speedy,” John C. “Bud” and Clyde Jr.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Marty and wife, Laura, son, Rodney and wife, Tammy, and grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan and Paisley.
Viewing services will be held Monday, January 11 through Thursday, January 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at DeArman’s Clagg Funeral Home, 1129 West First, Sulphur, Oklahoma.
