Ray Leon Jolly
Memorial services for Ray Leon Jolly, of Wynnewood, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood with Rev. Lynn Phillips officiating. Services will be under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood. Born on April 3, 1933 in Hennepin to Myrtle (Dickinson) and Roy Jolly, he passed away on December 30, 2016 in Sulphur, at the age of 83 years, eight months and 27 days. Ray grew up in the Hennepin and Davis area and graduated from Davis High School. After graduation he spent two years in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Lewis Washington and also in Alaska. After his service in the army, he moved back to the Wynnewood area and lived the rest of his life on the farm. He married Lalia (Carter) on April 12, 1958 in Wynnewood. His work after the army included 40 plus years with Helmerich and Payne Oil Company, while always operating a cow/calf and farming operation. Ray served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Wynnewood. He is survived by his wife, Lalia Jolly of their home in Wynnewood; daughter, Lezlee Vickers and husband, Steve of Sapulpa; two sons, Steven Jolly and wife, Robin of Sulphur and Hal Jolly and wife, Rhonda of Pauls Valley; one brother, Glen Jolly of Alvin, Texas; one sister, Janice Rogers and husband, Hoot of Davis; nine grandchildren, Tawni Rogers and husband, Weston of Sapulpa, Tiffani Thomas and husband, Aaron of Moore, Jantzen Jolly of Moore, McLane Jolly of Moore, Chelsea Quzma and husband, Tony of Rio Vista, Texas, Lance Jolly of Mustang, Hope Jolly of Pauls Valley, Makinzie Spence and husband, Lance of Edmond, Conner Michael of Ardmore; two great granddaughters, Dylan and Kadenze. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos Jolly and Larry Jolly and a sister, Nina McDaniels.
