Russell Derle Hudson, Sr.

Services for Russell Derle Hudson, Sr., of Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at DeArman Funeral Chapel in Sulphur with Jason Boyd officiating. Services were under the direction DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.

Born November 10, 1956 in Globe, Arizona, he passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 in Anadarko, at the age of 65 years, 11 months 28 days.

Russell grew up inArizona and worked as a derrick hand in the oil fields. He moved to Sulphur in 1971 and was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1976.

Russell and Janelle Blalock were married on April 30, 1976 in Gainesville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Ivy Boyd.

Russell is survived by wife, Janelle Hudson; son, Russell Hudson, Jr. and wife, Elisa of Sulphur; grandchildren, Shalynn Hudson , Russell Hudson III and wife, Sandra; his mother and step-dad, Gloria Moore and David, all of Sulphur; four brothers, Denny Boyd and Darren Boyd, both of Sulphur, Charles Boyd of Lawton, and Ronald Boyd of Arizona; three sisters, Kay Boyd, Jenny Boyd Vallo of Florida, and Phyllis Boyd Woodall of Lawton.
