Tawana Helena Louise Colungo

Services for Tawana Helena Louise Colungo, 67, Sulphur, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, at Crossway First Baptist Church with Randy Wade and Tony Poe officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Born October 12, 1949 in Lawton to Charley and Virginia Mae (Williamson) Meely, she passed away Friday, Dec. 23, in Ada She married to Pedro Colungo in Oklahoma City on September 11, 1968. He preceded her in death October 4, 2013. She had lived in the Sulphur area all of her life, where she attended school. Tawana had worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years. In 1963, she was honored as MVP in fast pitch softball. She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Anita, Gordon, Robert, Bobby, Jewell, DeWayne and a son Richard Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Colungo, Sulphur; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete Jr. and Mary Colungo, Ada, Antone and Tracy Colungo, Sulphur, Michael and Christine Colungo, Ada, Timothy and TaNiesha Colungo, Gene Autry, Mark Meely, McLoud, David Byars, Tulsa; 1 brother, Charles Meely, Ardmore; one sister and brother-in-law, Ramona and Robert Macias, St. Charles, Mo.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Derek Colungo, Chad Colungo, Tony Colungo, Justin Tiger, Christopher Colungo, and Treyc Colungo. Honorary bearers will be her granddaughters plus Ray Meely and David Shores.
