Tyler James Morris

Services for Tyler James Morris, 25, Sulphur, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019 at Oak Grove Church with Rev. Fred Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Dolberg Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Born May 3, 1994 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Everett James and Janie (Castleberry) Morris, he passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 in Sulphur, at the age of 25 years, 4 months and 24 days.

Tyler had lived in this area since 2012. He was happy go lucky and loved to hunt and fish. Tyler was loyal and trustworthy to everyone; he was “momma’s boy and the Big Little Brother. He was a volunteer fireman at Oak Grove and worked as a heat and air technician for Crowe Heating & Air.

Tyler was preceded in death by his father and his paternal grandparents, Everett and Virginia Morris. He is survived by his mother, Janie Castleberry Morris, of Broken Bow; sister and brother-in-law, Candice and Luis Benitez, of Broken Bow; niece, Janaya Benitez; nephew, Moises Benitez; maternal grandparents, Sonny and Leta Castleberry, of Sulphur; step-grandfather, Inocencio Zaleta-Mendez, of Heavener; uncle and spouse, Bart and Joanna Castleberry and their daughter, Cassie; aunt and spouse, Pam and Glenn Gregory and their family; aunt, Cindy Farrar and daughter and her husband, Christina and Chaz Billingsley and their family and a host of family members and friends.

Tyler’s Motto was “Hakuna Matata: It means no worries for the rest of your days. It is our problem-free philosophy.”

Tyler was beloved by family and friends and forever will be missed. Pallbearers will be Frank Mode, Steve Collins, Kaleb Collins, Beau Hyde, Kelby Collins, and Jake Weaver.
