Wanda Louise Parrott

Funeral services for Wanda Louise Parrott, 77, Davis, were held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis. Wanda was born April 6, 1940 in Wynnewood View to the late Alvin and Margaret “Maggie” (Ladd) Veach. She died Saturday, July 22, in Wellington, Texas. She and Joe H. Parrott were married on May 18, 1960 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2009. Wanda was a lifetime resident of the Davis area. During her working career, she worked at the Sulphur Sewing Factory, Chicago Miniature Lamps in Wynnewood and several area retail stores and restaurants. Wanda greatly enjoyed raising flowers, especially roses. She also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed and caring for her dog. Survivors include one daughter, Tricia Day and husband Dale of Wellington, Texas; three sons, Kenneth Parrott and wife Tammi, Steve Parrott and Timmy Parrott, all of Davis; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one sister, Goldie Marie Blevins. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth Doyle Parrott, Jr.
