Services for Wilma Jean Hughes, of Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, at Crossway Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge. Burial was at Dolberg Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Kelby Thomasson, Coll Thomasson, Tommy Harper, Don Hughes, Dave Hughes, and Curt Tully. Born August 6, 1941 in Davis, to Lee and Lois Myrtle (Ferris) Thomasson, she passed away March 12, in Sulphur, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 6 days. Wilma was married Howard “Rocky” Hughes in Davis on November 11, 1961. She had lived in this area all of her life, graduating from Davis High School in 1959. She had worked at Seeton Drug in Sulphur and later with her husband on their dairy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronnie Thomasson. She is survived by her husband, Howard “Rocky” Hughes, of Sulphur; daughter and her husband, Paula Booth and David, of Stratford; two sons and their wives, Gary Hughes and Shelly and Chris Hughes and Cathy, all of Sulphur; grandchildren, Jake Hughes, Blake Hughes, Ashley Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Camren Hughes, Garrett Hughes, Ciara Tippin and husband Bill, Justin and Jamie Booth, Cole and Tisha Booth; and great grandchildren, Colton Booth, Olivia Booth and Emerson McKenley; five sisters, Neta Adams, of Tyler, Texas, Glenda Harper, of Sulphur, Beverly Pence, of Ardmore, Eva Meador amd Gail Johnston, both of Davis.
