Memories Of Eugene W. Flippen

This week’s Indian Pioneer Paper was recorded by W.P.A. field worker Maurice Anderson on July 26, 1937.

I was born in Texas in 1877. Father was W. B. Flippen and mother was Maggie Terrill, both born in Texas.

I came to the Indian Territory in 1894. I was seventeen years old and I came to the Territory to get a job on a ranch. I had been breaking wild broncs to ride for my uncle and I thought I could make more money in the Territory.
