Dogs Roll Over LG, 56-16

It was another dominant performance for the Sulphur Bulldogs last Friday night, as they dismantled Lone Grove in a 56-16 win. The No. 7 Dogs (6-1, 3-0) had no problem with the Longhorns, running for 328 yards and leading 49-0 at halftime. “Our kids played well,” said Sulphur head coach Jim Dixon.

“Against Purcell last week, we played three really good quarters but were not very good in the second quarter. This week, I think we played a full four quarters and I was very pleased.” The Dogs have continued to improve each week, and that continued to show against Lone Grove, as the offensive line and defense showed strides. “Our offensive line blocked really well,” Dixon said. “Everyone up front was really good and continues to improve.”
