Sulphur softball kicked off its’ season last week and things got off to a slow start.

The Lady Dogs, who made the state tournament last year and return everyone, lost four of five games last week to some tough competition.

No. 15 Sulphur played three games last Tuesday, losing to Whitesboro (TX) 9-8 and Class 2A No. 1 Binger-Olney 18-2, while beating Blanchard 18-6.

On Thursday, Sulphur fell twice, losing to Class 6A No. 5 Choctaw 13-12 and No. 10 Tecumseh 19-15.

And now Sulphur has to wait, as activities and athletics are shut down through April 6 due to scoronavirus.
