Golfers End State Meet In Eighth Place

The Sulphur boys wrapped up another successful season, finishing 8th place at the Class 3A State Tournament last week, held at Tulsa Country Club.

Sulphur shot a team score of 1,037, tying with Sequoyah.

Regent Prep won the team title, scoring 882 as a team. OCS was second, finishing with a team score of 890. Kingston came in 3rd (930), Christian Heritage was 4th (960), Kingfisher was 5th

(961), Crossings Christian was 6th (961) and Victory Christian was 7th (972).

“I’m proud of the guys for their hard work to make it to the state tournament and finish in 8th place,” Sulphur head coach Chase Todd said. “This was a tremendous group of young men to coach. There were many times I had parents of other teams comment on how well they conducted themselves on the course.”
