Goodman Competes In State Golf

Sulphur golfer Jordan Goodman competed at her third state tournament last week at Westwood Golf Course in Norman.

Goodman shot a 106 in a weather-shortened tournament.

“I was really proud of Jordan for battling out there,” said Sulphur head coach Grant Bates. “She played through some injuries and showed a lot of toughness.”

Bates said Goodman battled through a shoulder injury recently, which along with the inconsistent weather, affected her rhythm.

“We didn’t get to play the second day due to bad weather but she was tough and hung in there and competed,” said Bates.

The coach also talked about Goodman’s consistency as being a three-time state qualifier and what they are hoping to build on for her final season.
